Job Description

Extant Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO . The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive trauma care and perform emergency surgeries, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Trauma Program:

590-bed Acute Care Facility
Level I Trauma Center (ACS & State Verified)
Hybrid OR (16 surgical suites, includes 1 designated for trauma)
32 bed open ICU (16 surg + 16 medical)
HCA hospital network of 5 hospitals funnels into Research MC
Trauma activations avg 3000/ yr (20% penetrating)
General Surgery Residency with teaching opportunities
Clinical Research opportunities

Trauma Surgeon Criteria:

Board Certified Surgery with Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Fellowship required
