At Valmont, welding is more than just a skill — it’s how we build the structures that support power lines, highways, agriculture, and communication networks across the world. As an Entry-Level Welder, you’ll start a career that’s hands-on, high-impact, and full of potential. Whether you’re just getting started or looking for a place to grow, we’ll train you, support you, and set you up for success.

What We Offer

  • Long-term career paths and advancement opportunities
  • A clean, safe, team-focused work environment

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help build the steel structures that make modern life possible — from traffic poles to cell towers to irrigation systems. We’ll train you on the tools, techniques, and safety standards that set Valmont apart.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Performing MIG welding on structural steel components
  • Reading basic blueprints and work instructions
  • Inspecting welds and ensuring product quality
  • Following safety procedures and reporting issues
  • Working closely with team members to meet production goals

What You Bring
We’re looking for motivated individuals who want to work hard, learn fast, and build something that matters.

Ideal Candidates Have

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Basic familiarity with hand tools or power tools

  • Interest in welding or fabrication work

  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • No prior welding experience required — we’ll train you

Your Work Has Purpose
Every weld you make supports real-world systems — from lighting highways to powering farms to keeping communities connected. When you weld at Valmont, you’re building more than metal. You’re building infrastructure that lasts.
