Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Team! Prime Air is seeking an experienced Procurement Agent who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. You will have a record of being able to perform large scale processes and deliver results. You should have the ability to work under pressure, overcome obstacles and perform in changing environment. Our Procurement Agent is responsible for managing complex procurement activities, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal value for the organization. This role requires advanced negotiation skills and deep understanding of supply chain management. Key Responsibilities: - Execute end-to-end procurement processes including PO placement, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, and contract management - Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost savings and improve operational efficiency - Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics - Analyze market conditions and pricing trends to identify cost reduction opportunities - Lead complex contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies - Monitor and report on key procurement metrics and KPIs - Mentor junior procurement team members Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field - 5+ years of procurement experience - Strong negotiation and contract management skills - Proficient in procurement systems and MS Office Suite - Experience with strategic sourcing and category management - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications: - Professional certification (CPSM, CPM, or similar) - Experience with e-procurement systems - Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements - Project management experience - Advanced degree or MBA Key job responsibilities - Generate purchasing requisitions according to forecasted needs - Track and communicate delivery schedules with internal partners - Monitor and mitigate overall risk for new launches - Continuously work with the team to improve current processes - Collaborate with suppliers, to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance - Proactively communicate risks and issues to key stakeholders and recommend mitigations - Document and maintain records of procurement, order fulfillment, and transportation when applicable - Day-to-day order management, including transactional issue resolution and critical information gathering regarding schedules, invoices, tracking info, etc. Export Control License This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - 2+ years of supply chain experience - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of military experience Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market.
