Title: Pipe Welder
Location: Quincy, MA area
Duration: Direct Hire
Hours: Mon-Fri; 6am-2:30pm
Start Date: ASAP!

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs all types of welding, brazing and soldering repair, replace, and installation of stainless and carbon steel plate and pipe, aluminum, copper and all other metals
• Equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Pipe fitting rigging and equipment installation    
• Assist with process equipment assembly and installation.
• Perform lubrication on equipment as needed and directed.
• Complete data entry into the work order system as required
• Welder performs pipe welding/fitting for stainless and carbon steel pipes.
• Pipe welder will have daily responsibilities to trouble shoot and repair process piping and equipment and perform preventive maintenance on equipment within the facility

Requirements:

• Minimum of High School/GED
• Minimum 3+ yrs. experience of pipe welding experience
• Must be able to pass the 6G test prior to being extended an offer
• Must have pipe welding experience (NOT new structures)
• Proficient in TIG welding, mig welding, stick welding
• Read and interpret work orders, flow sheets, blueprint drawings, vendor specs, and/or P&ID’s to understand issue and to determine required repairs
• Proficient in using hand, power and shop tools
