Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global 2 Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-TH1 

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership / Supervision

• Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned. (Direct Hire)
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. (Direct Hire) 

Planning / Productivity 

• Determines workforce requirements. 

Tools, Materials & Equipment 

• Oversees tool and equipment usage on the site.
• Manages the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive. 

Safety & Quality

• Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation. 
• Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.

Technical  

• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents 
• Manages engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications. Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving ability. Ability to develop 3 week look ahead schedule in regards to mechanical equipment installation and testing
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams. Additional Information. Good back ground with turbomachinery equipment and rotating equipment.
• Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.S
• Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.)
