Job Description

The Logistics Lead oversees our warehouse and offsite activities based in Brooklyn. The Logistics Lead is not only responsible for managing all aspects of logistics but will also take charge of the pack and wrap process for entire jobs. 

This role requires a minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in New York City, with a solid understanding of inventory management, proper packing techniques, and handling delicate and valuable objects. Trucking experience is essential. The Logistics Lead will report to the Logistics Manager and play a pivotal role in project completion.

**The hiring process will include a trial period at a trial rate before a full-time offer is made.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the pack-and-wrap process for complete jobs, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality.
• Review job information from the Logistics Manager and ensure all materials, supplies, and resources are secured and ready.
• Lead the packing, wrapping, and securing of items for storage and transportation.
• Supervise and coordinate Logistics Assistants; delegate tasks and ensure timelines are met.
• Execute deliveries within Bednark facilities and to client locations as needed.
• Prepare detailed documentation—including photos, inspection reports, bills of lading, labels, and related paperwork.
• Receive, inspect, and release shipments at the warehouse.
• Pack inventory for local, national, and international transport and storage.
• Support internal teams and cross-functional needs as required.
• Work a flexible schedule with regular overtime during peak periods, including occasional late nights and weekends (OT paid after 40 hours/week).
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of logistics experience in NYC, including truck driving and art/fragile-object handling.
• Proven leadership experience coordinating or supervising small teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and professional packing/wrapping techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs on a dolly or cart and lift/carry up to 60 lbs without mechanical aid over a distance of 90 feet.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and overhead reaching throughout the day.
• Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies, and other necessary warehouse equipment.
• Forklift Certified.
