Step off AirTrain and into the lobby of Grand Hyatt at SFO. Our guests get to enjoy luxury hotel rooms and suites that feature stunning views of the bay and airport through soundproof floor-to-ceiling windows. They can also enjoy culinary delights or have a drink with friends in our bar without ever leaving the airport or take the train to the heart of San Francisco.

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall appearance of the hotel lobby and public areas while providing friendly, attentive service to guests. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming first impression and supporting the luxury standards of Grand Hyatt at SFO in a fast-paced airport hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all lobby and public areas, including entrances, seating areas, elevators, restrooms, corridors, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure floors, furniture, glass, fixtures, and surfaces are clean, polished, and free of debris at all times.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and maintain the cleanliness of disposal areas.
  • Monitor public spaces for safety hazards or maintenance issues and report concerns promptly.
  • Respond courteously to guest requests and provide basic assistance or directions when needed.
  • Replenish lobby supplies such as brochures, towels, amenities, and restroom supplies.
  • Support special cleaning projects and high-traffic periods due to flight schedules, groups, or events.
  • Follow proper chemical handling, safety, and sanitation procedures in accordance with Hyatt standards and local regulations.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to Hyatt grooming and service standards.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Security, Engineering, and Housekeeping teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
This is an hourly position with a compensation of $28.78 per hour.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk for periods of time.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including AM or PM shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping in a hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean spaces.
