About the Role:
The Legal Assistant, Legal Coordinator, or Legal Support Specialist provides internal legal operations support by serving as the primary liaison between company leadership and outside legal counsel. This role supports legal workflows related to contracts, real estate, construction matters, litigation, and regulatory compliance. The position is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong document management skills and experience supporting attorneys or external legal partners in a fast paced business environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate communication and information flow between executives, internal stakeholders, and outside legal counsel.
Manage legal files, contracts, case documentation, and matter tracking systems.
Draft, edit, format, and organize legal correspondence, agreements, and supporting documents.
Track deadlines related to filings, hearings, contract milestones, and regulatory requirements.
Schedule meetings, calls, depositions, and case reviews with internal and external parties.
Assist with document discovery, responses, and preparation for litigation or regulatory inquiries.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of sensitive and privileged information.
Support legal billing review, invoice tracking, and coordination with accounting and finance teams.
Qualifications:
Two to five years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, legal coordinator, or similar legal support role.
Working knowledge of legal processes related to contracts, real estate, construction law, or litigation.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a deadline driven environment.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and legal or document management systems.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with attorneys and executives.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working directly with outside counsel, law firms, or legal vendors.
Paralegal certificate or coursework in legal studies.
Familiarity with contract administration, regulatory filings, or litigation support processes.
Experience supporting legal operations within construction, real estate, or development focused organizations.
