Job Title: Credentialing Specialist - Provider Enrollment

Location: Houston, TX - Central Houston (Fully Onsite)

Industry: Healthcare / Provider Credentialing & Enrollment

Pay: $29 - $32 per hour

Assignment Type: Contract

About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a large healthcare organization seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to support provider enrollment and re-credentialing initiatives within a structured business office environment. This role is ideal for candidates who can hit the ground running and are comfortable working through backlogs and time-sensitive credentialing projects.

 

Job Description:

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for managing provider credentialing and payor enrollment activities, including re-credentialing and new enrollments across government and commercial payors. This position requires prior hospital credentialing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing activities in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Manage payor enrollment for providers, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payors.
  • Work through credentialing backlogs and project-based enrollment initiatives.
  • Utilize payor enrollment portals and Epic to update and maintain provider records.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of credentialing documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external payors as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records and meet established turnaround timelines.
  • Collaborate with credentialing team members, leadership, and related departments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of credentialing and privileging experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Hands-on experience with provider enrollment for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors (BCBS preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with payor enrollment websites and credentialing workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
