Job Description

Senior Helpers Portland West, a family-owned and operated home care agency, is hiring a dedicated part-time caregiver to support a senior in Oregon City. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in one person’s life while enjoying a flexible schedule and a supportive work environment. About the Client: This client has dementia and requires a caregiver who is:

Patient, calm, and confident with personal care
Creative in engaging the client in activities and conversation
Positive, empathetic, and emotionally steady

Please note: The home includes a large dog and a cat, so comfort with pets is essential. The location is in the countryside, so reliable transportation and a willingness to drive there are required. Position Details

Schedule: 15 hours/week to start, with potential to increase to 25–30 hours/week
Pay: $18.50–$20/hour
Location: Oregon City

Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
Provide companionship and emotional support
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
Drive the client to appointments and errands
Monitor health and communication with family and care team

Requirements

Ability to perform personal care tasks confidently
Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle
Previous caregiving experience preferred, but training is provided
