Overview

Manage patient care services provided by the Division (including but not limited to scheduling, EPIC/EMR implementation, result reporting and billing of E&M encounters and cardiology testing, including electrocardiography, echocardiography, Holter monitoring and exercise testing) through the implementation of safety, quality, productivity and customer-service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day administrative, human resource and fiscal operations of the division, professional, administrative and technical staff to ensure work is completed in a timely, safe and accurate fashion in the business office and the stress lab and echo lab.
  • Achieve financial objectives for the division by preparing the annual budget, negotiating and reviewing contracts with affiliated sites and research entities, tracking clinical and research income and expenditures, analyzing variances and instituting correction action in conjunction with the Division Chief and Unified Administrator for the Department.
  • Recruit and retain motivated, high performing staff by ensuring comprehensive orientation and training, clear communication of performance expectations and ongoing performance review, coaching and counseling. Enforce workplace rules and regulations in conjunction with HR and Department.
  • Provide management oversight and support for the research efforts of the division to ensure compliance with IRB and budgetary requirements.

Requirements

  • Collaborate with Division and Department leadership to create and implement short- and long-term goals for faculty recruitment, finance and divisional operations.
  • Develop and maintain operational plans that will facilitate the growth of clinical, research, and teaching activities of the division to function in a cohesive and synergistic manner. Direct and implement strategies to improve revenue and streamline operational procedures.
  • Manage and maintain equipment and administrative office facilities and laboratories. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements pertaining to patient, employee and property safety to ensure we are in compliance for Joint Commission visits.
  • Responsible for procurement, vendor management and contract negotiations for 6-9 current offsite locations and any new contracts.
