Job Description

Our client, a full-service law firm with a legacy of over 150 years, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience in product liability and asbestos litigation to join their expanding litigation team. This role is based in the firm's Long Island office, with the flexibility to work from New York City as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in product liability and asbestos-related litigation.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including depositions, court appearances, motion practice, and client communication.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Collaborate with team members on case strategy and litigation plans.
• Attend court conferences and manage a caseload independently with support from partners and senior attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar Admission is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in asbestos litigation, including deposition and courtroom experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate with clients, co-counsel, and the court.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $125,000 – $150,000, commensurate with qualifications & experience.
